oh happy day

Every year I try to buy one big Santa, dollar-wise. One splurge a year so that I can grow the quality of my collection, as well as the cute smaller things I end up picking up every year.

Every year for the past two years I've wanted to buy this Gregorian Santa from Fitz and Floyd. Believe me when I say the picture doesn't do the piece justice. It's absolutely stunning. When I first saw it in the store, I just stood and stared at it for almost ten minutes. But every year I've convinced myself that $400 US - or even $300 US, which is what they were selling for mostly last year - was way too much to spend.

I stopped by the site tonight to drool once again and found that it was on sale. Severely on sale. As in $150. It took me all of three seconds to decide.

The Gregorian Santa will be mine in 2-3 weeks, shipped direct from Fitz and Floyd. Oh, happy day.
