With that promise in mind, I share this yummy retro find from Etsy:

Handmade trinket boxes in pink or turquoise, I am just falling over myself in the sweetness and cuteness of these things. Plus, as you may have guessed, I have a thing for pink Christmas decorations, especially pink Santas. But the turquoise is almost as cute - lucky I can't afford to buy either this year or I'd be stuck on the reins of quite a dilemma!

More posts soon, folks. Bear with me - 2009 was a busy, busy year.

His costume is made from soft pink fleece with faux mink trim. Even the bear he's holding is handmade from the same fleece. He's 17 inches tall and about 7 inches wide. I've added a short pink maribou garland wrapped around his base to make him look even puffier, pinker and softer.

He's just gorgeous, and I keep him in my office so I can see him every day.
For those of us who (like me) only pull out their Santa collections for two months or so of the year, it's a way to be able to "reconnect" with Santa collecting and get your visual Santa fix without dragging out the whole kit. And kaboodle. You know what I mean?

Truth is, most Santa-related books that are really revered by collectors are older books and no longer in print. But that doesn't mean they're not findable - I've tracked down several that you might be interested in.

ceramic Santas at Pier One

I love Pier One. I think it's fabulously trendy and horrifyingly common but it's got some great finds, if you pick and choose wisely. And their holiday stuff is ALWAYS fabulous. Their ceramic Santas are lovely this year. Maybe at $15 I can justify buying all three? You think? :)...

Especially when one of those pretty designer things ties in with my Santa obsession. I can't begin to tell you how much I covet Timmy Woods Santa Claus handbags, like Santa XV (below):

If you're drooling over the idea but not a big fan of black, you can also check out the Gemini Santa (oh, YUM), Kris Kringle, and Zany Santa styles - my personal four faves.
